Whatever has caused the problem – 
maternity leave, sickness, holidays, sabbaticals - 
the work still needs to be done.

Often companies are unable, for many reasons, to add to the headcount of permanent staff – it may be unclear when the person who is off is coming back;  and someone who can come in and hold the fort for a short time, would be the ideal solution to the problem.

This is where I can come in. I have covered for marketing/business development resource problems 
in a number of different organisations.
In most situations, my experience means I can hit the ground running and keep things moving forward until the permanent staff member returns. I can be office or remotely based, or a mixture of both, depending on which works best for the client.
